Clinical and MRI features of demyelinating disease in children: A report of 38 cases

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical and MRI features of demyelinating in children disease.Methods: Thirty eight cases of demyelinating disease were analyzed retrospectively.Results: The brain MRI of 20 cases with multiple selerosis and 18 cases with acute disseminated encephalomyelitis were all abnormal.MRI showed T1W1isosignal or low signal focus and T2W1 high signal focus in the matter,basal nuclci,brain stem and cerebellum.Conclusions: Demylinizing disease in children dispays diversified clinical manifestation.MRI may be used as a means for early diagnosis of demyelinating in children.
