Applied anatomy of lumbosacral anterior great vessels

    • Objective: To acquire some relevant parameters of the lumbosacral anterior great vessels so as to provide theoretical basis for lumbosacral anterior internal fixation. Methods: The lumbosacral anterior great vessels were measured with a soft ruler. Results: The vertical distance between the bifurcation of lumbosacral anterior great vessels and the inferior border of lumbar 5 was(2.61±1.11) cm.The vertical distance between the bifurcation of the lumbosacral anterior great vessel and the vertebral midline was(1.03±0.40) cm(P>0.05).The distance between the midpoint of superior border of lumbar 5 and the inboard edge of the left and right lumbosacral anterior blood vessel was(0.34±0.31) cm and(2.15±0.40) cm,respectively;the distance between the midpoint of inferior border of lumbar 5 and the inboard edge of the left and the right lumbosacral anterior blood vessel was(1.41±0.54) cm and(2.50±0.79) cm,respectively(P<0.01).Conclusions: The bifurcation of the lumbosacral anterior great vessels lies in the right side of the vertebral midline. The distance between the vertebral midline and the inboard edge of the right lumbosacral anterior great vessel is longer than that between the vertebral midline and the inboard edge of the left lumbosacral anterior blood vessel.
