Observation and nursing of patients of protein-energy malnutrition with chronic renal failure in early stage

Objective: To investigate the development of protein-energy malnutrition in patients with chronic renal failure in early stage and provide measures of prevention.Methods: The clinical data of 40 cases with chronic renal failure in early stage were observed.Results: The serum albumin was <40 g/L in 60.00% of the 40 cases,the serum cholesterol was <3.9mmol/L in 37.50% and the Hb was <110 g/L in 66.70%.Conclusions: Lack of nutrition occurred in early stage of chronic renal failure.Evaluating the nutrition of patients with chronic renal failure in early stage should be emphasized and measures should be taken to prevent it.
