Diagnosis and treatment of glomus tumor: A report of 10 cases

Objective: To evaluate the diagnosis and treatment of glomus tumor.Methods: Ten patients with glomus tumor were all treated with operation.Results: After tumor excision,all 10 patients had total pain relief.The diagnosis of glomus tumor was confirmed by pathology in all the patients.Postoperative follow-up averaged 38 months and there were no recurrence.Conclusions: Due to the specific clinical presentation of glomus tumor,it is not difficult to be diagnosed.The operation appears to be the most effective way to treat the disease.
