Relationship between the changes of Platelet parameters and vascular pathological changes of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Objective:To research the relationship between the platelet parameters including the changes of BPC,MPV,PDW,PCT and the vascular pathological changes of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods:The BPC,MPV,PDW and PCT were measured by the automatic blood cell analyzer in 120 patients with T2DM and 80 healthy people and the FPG was studied by the automatic biochemistry analyzer.Results:In contrast to healthy team,the level of FPG was higher (P<0.01),BPC was lower (P<0.01),MPV and PDW were higher (P<0.01),but PCT was no statistical difference (P>0.05) in T2DM team.To contrast every parameters between the vascular pathological changes team and non-vascular pathological changes team in patients with T2DM,FPG was no difference (P>0.05),but BPC in vascular pathological changes team was lower than the other one (P<0.01),MPV and PDW were higher than the other one (P<0.01),PCT was no difference (P>0.05).Conclusions:Dynamic monitoring BPC,MPV,and PDW changes had certain values to study the vascular pathological changes of T2DM.
