Pazufloxacin in treatment of urinary tract infections: A report of 32 cases

Abstract
Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of pazufloxacin in treatment of urinary tract infections.Methods: Sixty-two patients were randomly divided into two groups.The patients in therapeutic group(32 cases) were administered pazufloxcin 300 mg,intravenously drop,twice a day,while the 30 patients in control group received levofloxatin 200 mg,intravenously drop,twice a day,for 7-10 days.Results: The total effective rates of the test and the control group were 90.6% and 90.0%,the recovery rates were 84.4% and 83.3%,the bacterial clearance rates were 93.3% and 92.9%,and the adverse reaction rates were 6.3% and 6.7%,respectively.There were no significant statistical differences between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions: The efficacy and safety of pazufloxcin is similar to those of levofloxacin in treatment of urinary tract infections.
