    • Objective To investigate the current status and influencing facctors of Knowledge, Beliefs and Practices of Advance Care Planning (ACP) among medical undergraduates to provide the reference for ACP education and training for medical undergraduates and even all-disciplinary college students.
Methods The clinical medicine and nursing undergraduates in a university in Anhui province were investigated using the general Information Questionnaire, Knowledge, Beliefs and Practices of ACP Questionnaire, Life Meaning Scale (MLQ), and Death Attitude Profile-Revised (DAP-R) in October-December 2022. The single factor analysis, correlation analysis and multiple stepwise linear regression analysis were used to explore the cognitive status and related influencing factors of medical students' ACP.
Results A total of 595 valid questionnaires were collected, and the ACP knowledge, belief and behaviour scores of medical undergraduate students were 6.00 (3.00 ~ 8.00) points, 3.92 (3.46 ~ 4.38) points and 3.75 (3.13 ~ 4.38) points, respectively. The gender of medical undergraduates, receiving palliative care courses, religious beliefs, MLQ score, natural acceptance and escape acceptance scores in DAP-R were the influencing factors of knowledge, belief and behaviour of ACP (P < 0.05).
Conclusions Medical students in colleges and universities have lower cognition of ACP and higher behavior attitude and willingness, so relevant courses can be carried out to improve their ACP knowledge, belief and practice level.
