Docetaxel combination therapy for treatment of non-small cell lung cancer:Report of 35 cases

Objective: To observe the efficacy and side effect of docetaxel combination therapy on advanced non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods: Thirty-five patients with NSCLC were treated by docetaxel 100 mg intravenous d₁,combined with cisplatin 100 mg or oxaliplatin intravenous 200 mg d₁,respectively.The therapy was repeated every 3 weeks.After 4 cycles the effects and side effects were evaluated by WHO criteria.Results: CR was achieved in 1,PR in 21,NC in 10 and PD in 3.The overall response rate(CR+PR) was 62.86%.The major toxicities were nauser/vomiting,neutropenia and alopecie.Conclusions: Docetaxel-based combination chemotherapy is safe and effective for treatment of advanced NSCLC.
