The effect of manual reduction and splint fixation combined with traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of ankle fracture in 54 cases

Objective:To explore the clinical effects of manual reduction and plasticity splint fixation combined with traditional Chinese medicine packet in the treatment of ankle fracture.Methods:Fifty-four patients with ankle fracture were treated with manual reduction and plasticity splint fixation,traditional Chinese medicine packet and early functional exercise..Results:All patients were followed up for 10 to 20 months.Excellent in 36 cases(66.7%),good in 17 cases(31.5%) and poor in 1 case(1.9%) were found according to the prognosis assessment of Olerud-Molander ankle fracture scoring system.Conclusions:The clinical effects of manual reduction and plasticity splint fixation combined with traditional Chinese medicine packet in the treatment of ankle fracture are good.The treatment is optimal choice for the patients with fear of surgery,financial difficulty and other reasons.
