Surgical treatment of intraspinal tumor in the upper segment of cervial in 18 cases

Objective:To discuss the characteristics of surgical treatment of intraspinal tumor in the upper segment of cervical.Methods:The surgical planning of patient was made after the character,range of tumor were evaluated according to the results of X-ray,CT and MRI.Results:After the surgical treatment,16 patients recovered,one patient had no improvement,one patient got increasing dyspnea complicated by aspiration pneumonia and died from breath failure.There was no tumor recurrence case after 1 to 2 years of follow-upin 18 patients.Conclusions:Optimal surgical approach and skillful operation are key to the treatment of intraspinal tumor,and microsurgery is the most effective method for treatment of intraspinal tumor at present.
