Diagnosis value of spiral CT for traumatic adrenal hematomas

Objective:To explore the features and value of spiral CT in diagnosis of traumatic adrenal hematomas. Methods:The spiral CT pictures of 14 cases of adrenal hematomas were analyzed retrospectively. Results:Fifteen adrenal hematomas were found in 14 the cases,13 of which were on the right side and 1 was on both sides;4 cases were localized and 10 cases diffused.At the acute stage,the adrenal hematomas were round or oval with high-density;with time going,the adrenal hematomas became smaller and absorbed;enhanced scanning showed no strengthening or arced strengthening on the edge. Conclusions:Adrenal hematomas present typical CT manifestations,and spiral CT has great value for the diagnosis.Dynamic review and enhanced scanning may be of help to the differential diagnosis of adrenal hematomas
