Abstract
Objective: To explore the efficacy of using proximal femoral nail to treat intertrochanteric fracture. Methods: Forty cases of intertrochanteric fracture was retrospective analyze. Incise the lateral femur, reduct the fracture and fix fracture site using proximal femoral nail were carried out in all cases. Results: After followed up by 6 to 12 months,all cases were healed without complications as incision infection,back nails,hip varus deformity and so on. Conclusions: Proximal femoral nail can fix fracture from different angles and increase the stability of fracture,and could be a good choice of curing elderly patients with intertrochanteric fractures.
