The effect of acanthopanax senticosus injection on intestinal propulsive and gastric emptying function in mice of gastrointestinal dysfunction

Objective：To study the effect of acanthopanax senticosus injection on intestinal propulsive and gastric emptying function in mice of gastrointestinal dysfunction.Methods：The charcoal propulsive method was adopted to observe how acanthopanax senticosus injection promoting intestinal propulsion which inhibited by atropine in mice;the gastric residual rate of methyl orange approach was adopted to observe how acanthopanax senticosus injection promoting gastric emptying inhibited by atropine.Results：Acanthopanax senticosus injection(flavonoids) at 50,100 and 200 mg/kg all can improved the propulsive function of small intestine(P〈0.05-P〈0.01) and gastric emptying function in mice inhibited by atropine(P〈0.01).Conclusions：Acanthopanax senticosus injection improves mice gastrointestinal dysfunction significantly which inhibited by atropine.
