The early application of serum cystatin C in diabetic sligt kidney damage

Objective:To investigate the application value of serum cystatin C(Cys C) levels in the diagnosis of diabetic sligt kidney damage.Methods:The concentrations of serum Cys C and creatinine(Cr) in 80 cases with type 2 diabete(observation group)and in 35 healthy adults(control group) were detected through turbidimetric method by Bayer ADVIA1800 automatic biochemical analyzer.The diagnostic sensitivity of Cys C and Cr of diabetic sligt kidney damage were analyzed.Results:The levels of Cys C in observation and control group had significant difference(P0.01),but for Cr had no(P0.05).Conclusions:Serum Cys C is sensitive index in the diagnosis of early diabetic kidney damage,which has certain advantages than Cr.
