    Analysis of peer response in graduate students' medical English teaching

    • Objective:To promote graduate studentsprofessional English teaching mode reform and change the traditional language base-targeted and fundamental skill-oriented teaching mode,a new mode tailored to the needs of graduate students medical English learning in new era should be explored,which may help the students to apply their English listening,speaking,reading,writing and translation ability to professional study and research.Methods:This paper discusses the main problems existing in graduate students medical English teaching,pinpoints the theoretical as well as practical merits of peer response and proposes suggestions on how to practice it in class.Results:The performance of peer response in medical English Abstract writing class significantly elevates the students initiativeness,reinforces their team spirit and cultivates their critical and independent thinking.Conclusions:Peer response is an effective method in graduate students medical English teaching,which is of rich theoretical and practical significance in the reform of teaching method.
