Abstract
Objective:To investigate the molecular mechanism of arsenic trioxide (As2O3)inhibiting telomerase human telomerasereverse transcriptase(hTERT) expression in HL-60 cells. Methods:The different fragments of hTERT promoter luoiferase geneexpression vector were construc;ted and transfected into HL-60 cells with or without As2O3. The changes of luoiferase activity whichindirectly rellected the role of As2O3 on hTERT promoter different fragments were detected. Results:The luoiferase activities in differentfragments of hTERT promoter gene expression vector were decreased with As2O3(P0.05toP0.01)Conclusions:As2O3 can inhibit telomerase activity of hTERT promoter in HL-60 cells
