Observation of the emotional condition in patients with irritable bowel syndrome

To investigate the emotional condition of patients with different types of irritable bowel syndrome(IBSMethods:A total of 69 patients with IBS were divided into constipation type diarrhea type mixed type and undifferentiated type groupsA healthy control group was established. All the IBS patients were tested by the Hamilton depression scales(HAMD)and the HamiltonAnxiety scale(HAMA). Results:The HAMD scores and HAMA scores decreased in all the constipation diarrhea mixed andundifferentiated IBS groups.
