Effects of intermittent bolus gavage and continuous nasogastric gavageon the feeding tolerance and gastrin level in very low birth weight infants

    • To explore the effects of intermittent bolus gavage(IBC)and continuous nasogastric gavage(CNG)on thefeeding tolerance and gastrin level in very low birth weight infants(VLBWI). Methods:Seventy cases of VLBWI who were fed on partialparenteral nutrition were randomly divided into IBC feeding group and CNG feeding group. The time of reaching full enteral feeding(FEF)of both groups was observed. The gastrin level of two groups was compared on the first day and the tenth dayand the elfects ofthe two feeding patterns on the intolerance of VLBWI was analyzed.
