Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical effects of treatment osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCF) with percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP).Methods:One hundred and sixty-five vertebraes of 128 cases were treated with PVP by injection 2.7-9.5 ml of polymethyl-methacrylate.Results:All 165 vertebraes were punctured successful,in which 146 vertebraes were treated with unilateral transpedicular puncturing.The total efficiency of clinical pain relief was 95.3% and no serious complications.Conclusions:Treatment OVCF with PVP has good curative effects,small wound and broad indications.
