    Clinical analysis of 280 cases with hand foot and mouth disease

    • Objective:To explore the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of hand foot and mouth disease(HFMD).Methods:The treatment,epidemiological and clinical characteristics of 280 with HFMD were retrospective analysed from Oct.2008 to Oct.2009.Results:The cases with under 3 years were in majority,sporadic cases were major characteristics in epidemiology,and local pop performance in part of the kindergarten were found.Fever incidence was was 98.72%,and all the cases have rash.The performances of high fever,vomiting,body shaking,muscle weakness and sleepinessof the nervous system were found in severe cases,accounted for 20.36%.There were 4 cases with mycoplasma infection.In laboratory results,white blood cells(WBC) were greater than 10109/L in 266 cases;the binding force of carbon dioxide of 210 cases reduced;myocardial enzyme abnormal were in 77 cases,liver function abnormal were in 28 cases.In electrocardiogram(ECG),sinus tachycardia or too slow were main performances,sinus tachycardia was most,and S-T segment moving down and T-wave low plain was less.One case with antrum room knot free rhythm was detected.Fifty-one cases with ECG abnormalities,234 cases with bronchitis and 11 cases with bronchial pneumonia were comfirmed.Conclusions:Most cases with HFMD have light performances and are the common clinical cases.Rash have obvious characteristics.Sporadic cases are major features local pop performance are less in epidemiology.High fever,vomiting,body shaking,muscle weakness and sluggishness or sleepiness can hint heavy condition.Early application of hormones and immunoglobulin can relieve symptoms and promote the recovery of illness.
