Abstract
Objective:To detect the expressions of Toll like receptor 2(TLR2) and Toll like receptor 4(TLR4) on neutrophils in tuberculosis patients before and after infection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis(M.tb) in vitro and explore their significances. Methods:The expressions of TLR2 and TLR4 on neutrophils in tuberculosis patients and healthy adults from peripheral blood were determined respectively by flow cytometry. And then after infection of M.tb in vitro, the expressions of TLR2 and TLR4 were determined. Results:The expressions of TLR2 and TLR4 in tuberculosis patients were obviously higher than those in healthy adults(P0.01).And after infection of M.tb in vitro, the expressions of TLR2 and TLR4 in tuberculosis patients and healthy adults were obviously lower than before infection of M.tb(P0.01).Conclusions:The results indicate that the expressions and activations of TLR2 and TLR4 on neutrophils in tuberculosis patients can help to resist infection of M.tb,and TLR2 and TLR4 take part in immune response to infection of M.tb.
