Abstract
Objective: To improve CT imaging qualities and reduce rate of missed diagnosis in basicranial fracture by optimizing patterns of CT scanning and technical parameter. Methods: The water model was used and the imaging noise was acquired and compared with different X-ray amount(50 mAs,100 mAs,180 mAs and 225 mAs),spiral and non-spiral CT scanning patterns.Conventional and optimized technical parameter plain CT scanning were performed in 41 patients with craniocerebral trauma. The acquired images were analyzed. Results: Minimal noise was acquired with high X-ray amount(225 mAs) and non-spiral CT scanning.Compared images of optimized technical parameters with conventional CT scanning,it could be found that the thinner of the slice thickness(thinner than 3 mm),the less of the skeletal artificial effects.Imaging resolving power of fine basal skeletal structure could be improved with high resolution reconstruction(H80s) and optimal window width(W2000) and window level(L600).Conclusions: The acquired images are clear with optimized technical parameters CT scanning in patients with basicranial fracture. It might increase the finding rate of basicranial fracture.
