Clinical application of vaginal hysterectomy for non-prolapsed uterus

    • Objective: To investigate the clinical effects of vaginal hysterectomy for non-prolapsed uterus and ventral hysterectomy. Methods: The results of vaginal hysterectomy in 30 patients and ventral hysterectomy in 40 patients were compared and analyzed. Results: The operation time, the quantity of bleeding after the operation, the dosage of acetanilid used after the operation, the hospitalization time after the operation, the anus exhausting time and the cost in hospital in the vaginal hysterectomy group were less than the ventral hysterectomy group(P<0.05-P<0.001).Nevertheless,there was no statistically significant difference in the fever rate after the operation between these two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions: Vaginal hysterectomy for non-prolapsed uterus is less invasive and painful, safer and faster in recovery with less cost.It is worthy of being popularized in the clinical practice.
