Analysis on enterobacter resistance to 21 antibiotics in Huaibei area

    • Objective: To analyze and compare the anti-bacterial effects of 21 antibiotics on the nitrobacteria isolated from 3 hospitals in Huaibei area in order to direct proper use of drugs in clinics. Methods: A total of 326 nitrobacteria were tested by Micro Scan WalkAWay-40,Vitek-32 and Kirby-Beuer for drug sensitivity. The susceptibility test was conducted according to NCCLS formulated in 1999.Results: Among 326 strains of enterobacteriaceae were isolated Escherichia coli(216),Klebsiella pneumoniae(37),Klebsiella rhinoschleromatis(18),Enterobacter agglomerans(19),Enterobacter aerogenes(18) and Enterobacter cloacae(18).Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae resistance to imipenem were the lowest(1.4% and 2.8%),and then were cefoperazon/sulbactam,piperacillin/tazobactam,gentamicin,amikacin.Conclusions: Of the 21 antibiotics tested,Imipenem is the most sensitive one.Clinical treatment should be performed according to the results of the susceptibility test.
