Abstract
Objective:To investigate the fluctuation of the serum level of estradiol in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage and the relation of the severity and prognosis of cerebral hemorrhage. Methods:The serum level of estradiol in 168 patients and 60 healthy persons was determined. All the patients were scored by U.S.National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS),and compared in groups. Results:There was significant difference in the serum level of estradiol in patients with cerebral hemorrhage in comparison with that of controls(P0.01),there was significant difference in the serum level of estradiol and the degree of seriousness of the male patient's condition and the bleeding(P0.05),there was no correlation in the serum level of estradiol and the degree of seriousness of the female patient's condition and the bleeding(P0.05),the serum level of estradiol in the patients of the improved group was obviously higher than that of the unchanged group and the deterioration group(P0.05 to P0.01).Conclusions:It is helpful for judging prognosis to determine the serum level of estradiol in patients with Hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage.
