The clinical curative effect of sitagliptin in the treatment of obesity type 2 diabetes:a report of 40 cases

Objective:To observe the clinical curative effects of sitagliptin in the treatment of obesity type 2 diabetes.Methods:Forty cases with type 2 diabetes without fine control of blood glucose level were treated with sitagliptin for 12 weeks,which was based on original clinical protocols.The levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG),2 hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),c-peptide and 2 h c-peptide,and the blood routine,blood pressure and the liver and kidney functions were detected before treatment and at 12 weeks after treatment.Results:Compared with before treatment,the levels of FBG,2hPG,HbA1c,BMI and insulin dose decreased significantly(P0.05 to P0.01).The levels of c-peptide and 2 h c-peptide improved(P0.01) at 12 weeks after treatment with sitagliptin.There were no significant changes in the levels of blood pressure,and the liver and kidney functions,red blood cells and platelets after treatment(P0.05).The white blood cells after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P0.01).Conclusions:Sitagliptin is a safe and effective hypoglycemic drug in the treatment of obesity type 2 diabetes and without obvious adverse effects.
