Control study of damage factors for university students of Bengbu city

Objective:To study the risk factors of injuries among university students in Bengbu and provide a basis of formulating effective intervening measures.Methods:One thousand eight hundred and fifty-six university students from three universitise in Bengbu were selected using stratified cluster sampling method on a basis of sex,age,grade,nation and areas,242 cases and 242 controls were studied according to 1∶ 1 matching principle,and data were analyzed by single factor and multivariate logistic regression analysis.Results:The incidence rate of injury was 13.49%.The results of single factor and multivariate logistic regression analysis demonstrated that no league activities and high nervous latitude score were risk factors.Two-parent family,higher education level of mother,safety of education and low latitude stability score were protective factors.Conclusions:The injuries in college students were caused by multiple factors.Enhancing safety education and improvement prevention and protection of consciousness of college students can control the occurrence of injury.
