Abstract
Objective: To summarize the experience of intervention and thrombectomy for the left iliac vein compression syndromw with low limb deep venous thrombosis(DVT).Methods: The placement of DVT filter and obliterans from femoral vein was performed, and the balloon was also performed. The dilatation and endovascular stent of iliac vein was performed. Results: Stricture and obstruction were found in left iliac vein in different extents.Following up in these patients ranged from 1 month to 36 months. The limb swelling was alleviated completely in 37 patients.More than 2/3 of swelling was alleviated in 5 patients (10.87).More than 1/3 of swelling was alleviated in 3 patients (6.52).The lim swelling was alleviated slightly in one patient (2.17).No perioperative death occurred. Conclusions: The placement of IVC filter and obliterans from femoral vein and balloon dilatation and endovascular stent of iliac vein for treatment of Cockett syndrome are minimally invasive, safe and effective with low reccurence rate.
