The clinical efficacy of continuous glucose monitoring system combined with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion on treatment with type 2 diabetes

    • Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of continuous glucose monitoring system(CGMS) combined with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSII) on treatment of type 2 diabetes. Methods:Forty patients with type 2 diabetes in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and the observation group,20 cases in each group. The patients in control group were given blood glucose monitoring combined with CSII while the patients in observation group were received CGMS combined with CSII.The blood glucose level at every time interval was observed after treatment for 4 days. Results:After treatment, the blood glucose level at every time interval was decreased(P0.01),and the efficacy in observation group was better than in control group(P0.05 to P0.01);the time of blood glucose level reaching standard in observation group was shorter than in control group(P0.01).Conclusions:CGMS combined with CSII for treatment of type 2 diabetes can be faster and more effectively to control blood glucose level, reduce blood glucose fluctuation, reduce the incidence of low blood glucose, delay or prevent the occurrence and development of acute and slow complications, shorten the patient's treatment time and reduce economic loss.
