Clinical research of progynova or mifepristone combined with rivanol for induced abortion of midtrimester pregnancy

Objective: To investigate the clinical effects of progynova or mifepristone combined with rivanol on induced abortion of midtrimester pregnancy.Methods: Two hundred and twenty-six cases with induced abortion of midtrimester pregnancy were randomly divided into three groups.The first group(68 cases) were aborted with progynova combined with rivanol,the second group(92 cases) were aborted with mifepristone combined with rivanol and the control group(66 cases) were aborted with only rivanol.The clinical effects and blood loss of all cases were compared.Results: Compared with the control group,the time of embryo delivery of the first and second group shorten significantly(P 0.01).The blood loss of the first group decresed significantly(P 0.05).Conclusions: The effects of progynova or mifepristone combined with rivanol on induced abortion of midtrimester pregnancy were better than that of rivanol.The treatment of progynova combined with rivanol can reduce the blood loss,which is worth popularizing application in clinic.
