The treatment of 17 adult males with urethral simple stenosis with ureteroscopy combined with fascia expander

Objective: To explore the effects of the treatment of adult male with urethral simple stenosis with ureteroscopy combined with fascia expander.Methods: Seventeen expansion failure patients with urethral simple stenosis through the conventional metal urethral probe were treated with ureteroscopy combined with fascia expander.Results: Seventeen cases were successfully expanded,the operation time was 15 to 45 minutes.The urination symptoms of all cases were significantly improved after catheter removal.No serious complications were found.Patients were able to urinate normally,which urine lines were normal or close to normal.All cases were followed-up from 3 to 24 months,and met the criteria of clinical cure by the regular expansion of metal expander.The biggest urine flow rate was more than 15 ml / s,and no residual urine in bladder were observed under B ultrasonic examination.Conclusions: The treatment of adult male with urethral simple stenosis with ureteroscopy combined with fascia expander is safe,effective and simple operation,which can be repeatly used and worthy of being widely applied in clinic.
