Effect of mixture penqiangyan on uterine smooth muscle

Objective:To observe in vivo effect of mixture penqiangyan on rabbit uterine smooth muscle movement andin vivoeffect of mixture penqiangyan on rat uterine smooth muscle movement.Methods:rabbits were grouped into control group,mixture penqiangyan groups(8.1,16.3 and 32.5 g/kg)and mixture fuyankangfu group(4.5g/kg)with duodenal administering.rats were grouped into control group,mixture penqiangyan groups(11.4,22.8 and 45.5g/kg)and mixture fuyankangfu group(7.0 g/kg)with oral administering twice a day for three days.Three days later,mixture penqiangyan containing serum was isolated from the rats and rat uterine isolated were incubated with mixture penqiangyan containing serumin vivo.Results:Sixteen point three g/kg and 32.5 g/kg of mixture penqiangyan significantly excite amplitude of rabbit uterine contractionin vivo(P0.05),and effect of 16.3 g/kg of mixture penqiangyan is better than that of 8.1g/kg.Further study showed that 91.0 g/kg of mixture penqiangyan containing serum significantly excite amplitude and activity of rat uterine contraction in vitro(P0.05-P0.01),while 45.5 g/kg of mixture penqiangyan containing serum only increased the amplitude of rat uterine contraction(P0.05).Conclusions:Mixture penqiangyan may improve symptoms of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease by exciting uterine smooth muscle.
