Abstract
Objective: To explore the expression and clinical significance of murine double minute 2(Mdm2) and phospho-serine/ threonine protein kinase(pAkt) in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:The protein levels of Mdm2 and pAkt were detected by EliVision immunohistochemistry in 70 HCC tissue samples and 40 tissues adjacent to carcinoma correlation between their expressions and clinicopathological features was analyzed. Results:The expression postive rate of Mdm2 in HCC tissue(34.3%) was significantly higher than that in tissues adjacent to carcinoma(P0.01),its expression in tumor size more than 5 cm or lymphnode metastasis tissue significantly increased(P0.05).The expression postive rate of pAkt in HCC tissue(37.1%) was significantly higher than that in tissues adjacent to carcinoma(P0.01),its expression differences in different tumor size, pathologic grade,TNM stage and lymphnode metastasis tissue were statistical significance(P0.05).The Mdm2 expression was positively related with pAkt expression in HCC tissue(r's= 0.441,P0.01).Conclusions:The expressions of Mdm2 and pAkt may be associated with the progression of HCC,which can serve as the index for evaluating the prognosis of HCC.
