The clinical comparison of percutaneous minimally invasive plate fixation and conventional plate fixation in the treatment of tibia fracture

    • Objective: To compare the clinical effects of percutaneous minimally invasive plate fixation and conventional plate fixation in the treatment of tibia fracture. Methods:Eighty patients with tibia fractures were randomly divided into the observation group and control group(40 cases each group). The observation group and control group were treated with percutaneous minimally invasive plate fixation and conventional plate fixation, respectively. The blood loss, fracture healing, incidence of fracture nonunion or delayed union and linear and positional alignment between two groups were compared. Results:The callus formation, fracture healing and walking regained in observation group were significantly shorter than those in control group(P0.01),the blood loss in observation group was significantly less than that in control group (P0.01).the excellent rate of therapeutic effect in observation group (100.0%) was significantly higher than that in control group(75.0%) (P0.05).The differences of postoperative complications between two groups statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusions:Percutaneous minimally invasive plate fixation for treating tibial fractures meets with the principles of biological osteosynthesis, which is good for bone healing and an effective method.
