Abstract
Objective: To explore an effective method for radical correction of axillary osmidrosis. Methods: Two or three incisions with a length of 3 cm were excided in the skin fold of axillary, and the flap was bluntly dissected 2 mm under the dermis;all the apocrine glands, sweat glands and hair-follicle of the flap were pruned to a full or split thickness. After the flap was irrigated and the hemorrhage arrested, the incision was sutured and dressed with pressure. Results: The peculiar smells were eliminated in all the 34 cases;the flaps were all alive and no visible scar was left in the field of operation. Conclusions: Miniature cut and pruning tissues under dermis is an effective method for radical correction of osmidrosis.
