Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical effects of locking compression plate(LCP) internal fixation on treating complex femoral shaft comminuted fracture. Methods: The data of 18 cases with femoral shaft comminuted fracture treated with LCP internal fixation were retrospectively analysed, and the efficacy was evaluated. Results: All cases were followed up for 7 to 24 months and were the bone healing. The average healing time was (15.2 2.5) weeks. Conclusions: LCP internal fixation for treating comminuted fracture of femoral shaft is fixed concrete and fitting to the biomechanical principle, and which can reduce to the damage of femoral periosteal blood supply and the non-union rate of fracture. It is one of the effective way of treating comminuted femoral fracture.
