Diagnosis and treatment for testicular torsion: Report of 12 cases

Objective: To summerize the experience in diagnosis and treatment of testicular torsion.Methods: The data of 12 cases of testicular torsion were retrospectively analyzed.Results: The diagnosis of testicular torsion in all the cases was based on color Doppler ultrasonography.Ten cases of necrotic testicles were performed orchiectomy and 2 were salvaged by reduction.Twelve cases recovered and discharged.Conclusions: Careful attention should be paid to patients with testicular pain to improve the early diagnosis rate.Early surgical exploration can improve the testicular survival rate.
