Changes of serum C reactive protein and ceruloplasmin levels in pregnant women

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical value of the changes of C reaction protein ( CＲP) and ceruloplasmin ( Cp) in late pregnancy and delivery. Methods: The serum CＲP and Cp of 98 normal delivery women，99 cesarean section women，38 antenatal examination women and 25 healthy women( control group) were detected. Ｒesults: The serum Cp level in the normal delivery group，cesarean section group and antenatal examination group was markedly increased compared with that of the control( P 0.01) ; the serum CＲP level of the cesarean section group was higher than that of the control group and the normal delivery group( P 0.01) ; and the CＲP and Cp levels in other groups had no statistical difference( P 0.05) . Conclusions: CＲP and Cp can be used as predictors in late pregnancy and delivery.
