The qualitative research of psychological experience of the patients with hip replacement

ObjectiveTo explore the psychological experience of the patients with hip replacement. Methods: Seven patients with hip replacement were investigated by semi-structured interview using phenomenology method in qualitative research， the interview data were analysed.Results: Five key themes of the psychological experience in patients included the panic caused by disease，effects of family members， the change of social life and work， self-correction and the expectations of rehabilitation period. Conclusions: The rehabilitation nursing of patients with hip replacement should include physiological，psychological and social aspects，which can promote the comprehensive rehabilitation of patients.
