Abstract
Objective: To investigate the expression level of CyclinE and p27 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma(LSCC) and their clinical significance. Methods: The expression of CyclinE and p27 in 160 LSCC and 30 normal laryngeal tissues(NLT) were detected by EliVision immunohistochemical method. The relationship between the expression of CyclinE and p27 and clinicopathological parameters of LSCC was analyzed, the relationship between the expression of CyclinE and p27 was analysed. results: The positive rates of CyclinE and p27 expression in LSCC and NLT were 64. 37% & 40. 0% and 16. 67% & 60. 0%, respectively, the difference of which was statistical significance(P < 0. 05 to P < 0. 01) . The expression differences of CyclinE and p27 in differentiation, lymph node metastasis and pTNM stage of LSCC were statistical significance(P < 0. 05 to P < 0. 01) , the expression differences of CyclinE and p27 in age, gender, anatomic location and diameter of tumor were not statistical significance(P > 0. 05) , the expression of CyclinE and p27 was negative relation(P < 0. 05) . Conclusions: The CyclinE and p27 expression difference maybe a molecular basis of development and invasion /metastasis of LSCC. The detection of CyclinE and p27 expression has important significance in predicting the prognosis of patients with LSCC.
