Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effects of enteral nutritional suspension on nutritional status and immune function in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary(AECOPD) . Methods: Sixty patients with AECOPD were randomly divided into treatment group(31 cases) and control group(29 cases) . The control group and treatment group were treated with conventional therapy and enteral nutritional suspension based on the control group everyday 1 000 ml, twice a day for 3 weeks, respectively. The clinical effects in two groups were observed. results: Compared with the treatment group before treatment and control group, the nutritional status(including body mass index, skinfold thickness, arm muscle circumference, serum albumin, serum prealbumin, leptin and adiponectin) and immune function(including CD4,CD8,CD4 /CD8 and IgG) of treatment group were improved after treatment (P < 0. 05 to P < 0. 01) , the difference of IgM between two groups was not statistically significant(P > 0. 05) . Conclusions: The effects of enteral nutritional suspension on treating the patients with AECOPD are good, which can improve nutritional status and immune function, to some extend and improve the clinical efficacy.
