Abstract
Objective: To explore the effects of trichloroethylene(TCE)on kidney peroxidation damage and the expression of nitric oxide(NO)of rats. Methods: Thirty-two SD rats were randomly divided into the control group and low, medium and high dose TCE injection group(8 rats per group),which were subcutaneously injected with olive oil and 500,1000 and 2000 mgkgP>-1P>d P>-1P>TCE respectively once a day for 7 days. The kidney index and activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and contents of malondialdehyde (MDA)and NO of kidney tissue were measured. Results: The weight of rats with TCE injection increased on the fourth day, the increasing weight of low dose group were higher than that of medium and high dose group(P<0.05 and P<0.01)and the kidney index was not statistical significant(P>0.05).The activities of SOD of three different dose groups were lower than that of the control group(P<0.01 and P<0.05),but for the concentration of MDA and levels of NO of three different dose groups were higher than that of the control group(P<0.05-P<0.01).Conclusions: TCE has certain injury effects on kidney tissue, which can strengthen the effects of renal lipid peroxidation.
