Abstract
Objective: To observe the expressions of c-myc and p27 in bladder urothelial carcinoma and the correlation between them. Methods: The expression of c-myc and p27 in 63 cases of bladder urothelial cancinoma were detected using immunohistochemical method. Results: The positive expression of p27 was significantly lower in bladder urothelial carcinoma than that in normal tissues(P <0.01); the expression of c-myc was significantly higher in bladder urothelial carcinoma than that in normal tissues(P<0.01).The expressions of p27 and c-myc were correlated with the stage and grade of the bladder urothelial cancinoma(P<0.05 to P<0.01).There was a highly significant negative correlation between the expressions of p27 and c-myc(P<0.01).Conclusions: p27 and c-myc may be useful makers in judging the differential degree and prognosis of the bladder carcinoma.
