The application of laparoscopy in diagnosis and treatment of acute abdomen with unknown causes

Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of laparoscopy in diagnosis and treatment of acute abdomen with unknow causes. Methods: The clinical data of 30 cases with unclear acute abdomen applied laparoscopic diagnosis and treatment were analyzed retrospectively.Results: Thirty cases were diagnosed.Twenty-one cases were treated with laparoscopic surgery,5 cases were converted to laparotomy and 4 cases were primary peritonitis.All patients had no complications.Conclusions: The laparoscopy is a timely, effective,safe,high diagnostic rate and micro-invasive method in unknown reason acute abdomen,which is worth utilizing widely in the clinic.
