Therapeutic effects of modified pelvic floor reconstruction on the pelvic function recovery

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate clinical effects of modified pevic floor reconstruction on severe pelvic viscera prolapse.Methods: Twenty-one palients with severe pelvic prolapse were treated with modified pelvic floor reconstruction surgery.Treatment evaluation parameters of peroperation and complications 12 months after surgery were analyzed according to the POP-Qstandard.Results: The success rate of operation was 100%, and no any complications.Three cases with mesh erosion 7 months after surgery and 1 case with postoperative urination difficulties were found,and the rate of postoperative morbidity was 20%.Conclusions: Modified pelvic reconstruction is a safe, efficient and micro-invasive for treating severe pelvic prolapse.However, its effects on postoperative sexual life should be concerned.The mehod has good short-term effects,but the long-term effects need further study.
