The reliability research of spiral computed tomography angiography to the diagnosis of carotid artery stenosis disease

Objective: To assess the value of spiral computed tomography angiography (SCTA)in carotid artery stenosis disease. Methods: The data of digital subtraction angiography(DSA)and SCTA in 56 patients with cerebral ischemic disease was analyzed. Results: Based on the results of DSA, the sensitivity of SCTA was 97.44% in detecting 159 carotid artery in 56 cases, its specificity was 89.71 %,negative predictive value was 93.85%,positive predictive value was 95.60%,Kappa value was 0.8824.SCTA was positively correlated with DSA in the diagnosis of carotid artery stenosis(P＜0.01).Conclusions: SCTA is of great clinical significance in the diagnosis of carotid artery stenosis disease,SCTA has less trauma and danger than DSA.
