Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical effects of minor facial incision in the treatment of zygomatic complex fractures(ZCF). Methods: Ninety-one patients with ZCF except 9 cases of type C2 were treated with minor facial incision and rigid fixation.The clinical effects of 82 cases were evaluated by postoperative follow up.Results: Eighty-two cases were reexamined in 1 to 3 months after operation.The grade Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ of curative effects were 53,23 and 6 cases, respectively.Postoperative incision of all cases were primary healing.Unconspicuous fine line trace was found, and concealed effect was satisfactory.The facial nerve injury,ectropion and lacrimal duct jam of complications were not detected.Conclusions: The minor facial incision may be a good choice for treating ZCF,which conforms to the modern therapeutic principles of the double standard of function and appearance and is worth clinical spread application.
