Biological characteristics of Vibrio Metschnikovii isolated from diarrheal patients

Objective: To study the biological characteristics of pathogenic Vibrio Metschnikovii.Methods: The etiology of one patient who subjected to diarrheal was determined according to GB15984-1995 detection.Results: One diarrhea Vibrio Metschnikovii had been detected,which displayed some biological characteristics: not resistance to heat, resistance to alkali and bile salt,higher resistance to penicillin,pioneer adriamycin and sulfamethoxazole and producing strong intestinal toxins.Conclusions: The biological characteristics of pathogenic Vibrio Metschnikovii not only contributes to clinical detection,but also makes doctor to diagnose promptly and offers effective treatment.
