Effect evaluation of student nurses in participating elderly diabetes patients' health education of communities

Objective: To improve the knowledge and self-management ability of community elderly diabetes patients,develop the communication ability of student nurses and improve the levels of community health education.Methods: Sixty-eight high-quality student nurses were selected to evaluate the health of community diabetes patients and propagandize health education.The personalized health education was conducted.The knowledge and self-management ability of community diabetes patients and the communication ability of student nurses were compared before and after conducting the plan.Results: After conducting the plan,the knowledge and self-management ability of community diabetes patients and the communication ability of student nurses were greatly improved,which difference was statistically significant(P＜0.01).Conclusions: Student nurses take part in the community health education of diabetes,which can play the role of human resources,not only increase the knowledge and self-management ability of community diabetes patients,but also improve the communication ability of student nurses.
