Analysis of omission and suplemenetary re-inoculation of measles vaccine in children in 2 street blocks of Bengbu

Objective: To investigate the vaccination and re-inoculation of children measles vaccine in 2 streets of Bengbu. Methods: The data of vaccination of measles vaccine were retrospectively analyzed from October 2011 to May 2012. The reasons of 100 children with no-vaccinated measles vaccine were investigated by their partents telephone,and these children were re-inoculation in March 2013. Results: The re-inoculate and total vaccination rates of measles vaccine in May 2012 and March 2013 were higher than those in October 2011( P 0. 05). The mainly reasons of measles vaccine omission were children in sick or medication( 47 cases),followed by going out or migrant children( 11 cases) and others in 31 cases by telephone follow-up. Conclusions: Reinforcing propaganda work,regular inspection and improving the immunization coverage of migrant children are vital importance to eliminate measles.
